Chatfield Ambulance EMT's - FYI

When you have a patient that reports having recently had chest pain but is now pain free it is suggested that you give the patient four (4) of the 81mg chewable aspirins. You may give aspirin without giving nitro.

Any tank of oxygen that reaches the 500lb remaining mark during a run should be changed when returning to the ambulance garage.
- Be sure to check the pressure after changing the tank. It should be at 2000 lbs for a new tank give-or-take a little. Reason you should check a replaced tank? Twice we've had replacement tanks that were "empty" and had to be swapped a second time.
- Remember to tear off the tags when you install a tank to "In Use" and when you swap it out to "Empty" so we don't accidentally grab an empty one thinking that it's full.
